Yost Home Improvements recently helped transform the exterior of a 1950s single story home into a stunning craftsman ranch.
Cedar Impressions & Siding
The homeowners chose a mix of Certainteed’s Triple 5″ Straight Edge Sawmill Cedar Impressions and Monogram Siding for the exterior of their home, which is located along the southeastern Connecticut shoreline. Both styles are in the herringbone color, a neutral hue that pops against the blue front door.
The front door and sidelite, also installed by Yost Home Improvements of Waterford, Conn., is a Provia brand fiberglass door. That particular door style comes primed and the homeowners had it painted Wedgewood Gray by Benjamin Moore.
Front Porch Ceiling & Soffit
The ceiling of the front porch is Certainteed’s Restoration Millword Beadboard Panel, which replicates the authentic look of historical porch ceilings but withstands the test of time.
On the soffit we used Certainteed invisivent vinyl soffit, which allows ventilation through the eves without any visible openings.
The roof of the home is Certainteed’s Landmark shingles in the Pewterwood color.
