About The Area

Guilford is a historic town located on the Long Island Sound in New Haven County, Connecticut. In 2005, Money magazine deemed it one of the top 100 places to live in the United States. Guilford was settled in 1639 after land was purchased from Native American leader Wequash Cooke and is considered by some to have the third largest collection of historic homes in New England.
