About The Area
Located just up the road from Yost Home Improvements, Quaker Hill is a village in the town of Waterford, CT. The area’s name comes from its association with the Rogerene Quakers, a religious group founded by a local farmer, John Rogers (1648-1721). The first house was built in Quaker Hill in 1740 at Scotch Cap. The village is also the former site of the Robertson and Bingham paper mill, which was established in 1851.
