About The Area

Old Saybrook is a town in Middlesex County, Connecticut with a population of roughly 10,000. It was established in 1624 by Dutch settlers.

The late Katherine Hepburn resided in Old Saybrook, where her legacy is still strong. In 2009, the former town hall building was restored to it’s original use as a theater and is now known as the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center and Theater.

A favorite culinary destination in Old Saybrook is Pasta Vita, which offers freshly prepared entrees for customers to take home and enjoy. Another popular spot is Penny Lane Pub, where Yost Home Improvements co-owner Al Yost Jr. can be seen performing with his Irish band Clan O’Cleary.
