About The Area<\/h5>\n

Griswold is a 37.1 square mile town located in New London County, Connecticut. It includes the borough of Jewett City as well as the villages of Doaneville, Rixtown, Glasgo, Hopeville, and Pachaug.<\/p>\n

For a taste of the country, visit Buttonwood Farm<\/a> on Shetucket Turnpike in Griswold. Since 1975, the Button Family has been producing feed for cattle and milk for wholesale as well as merchandising cattle. In 1998, they opened an ice cream stand, which has been a favorite among locals and visitors ever since. In the summer, the Buttons also grow acres of sunflowers that make for a great photo spot. Sunflower bouquets can be purchased of which the proceeds are donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut. <\/p>\n
