About The Area

Westbrook is a quaint shoreline community nestled between New Haven and New London. It’s home to the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge, which encompasses 950 acres separated into 10 units across Connecticut. The Saltwater Meadow Unit is based in Westbrook and is the oldest unit in the refuge. It features 2.5 miles of trails that wind through grassland, forest, and marsh habitats.

Also located is Westbrook is the elegant Water’s Edge Resort & Spa, an oasis of rest and rejuvenation. The historic resort offers breathtaking beaches, award-winning dining, a full-service spa and more.
