Incorporated in 1855, Putnam is a town of about 9,600 situated in Windham County, Connecticut. Spanning 20.4 square miles, Putnam has several trails popular for hiking, such as the River Mills Heritage Trail. Downtown stores also draw in antiquers looking for vintage treasures.
