About The Area

Situated in Windham County, Connecticut, Pomfret offers beautiful country vistas, winding back roads, stone walls and an array of eclectic shops and restaurants. The 40.6-square-mile town is home to about 4,300 people and includes the following villages and areas: Abington, Elliotts, Pomfret, Pomfret Center and Pomfret Landing. Pomfret is also home to Mashamoquet Brook State Park where visitors can hike, camp, fish, swim and more.
